The Bingo Maru is a fictional Japanese freighter-turned-rescue ship which appeared in the 1954 Godzilla film Godzilla.

History

Godzilla

Following the sinking of the Eiko Maru, the Bingo Maru was sent on a voyage to rescue its living survivors. However, its rescue voyage was cut short when a mysterious light set it ablaze, an identical fate to the Eiko Maru. Survivors of it and the Eiko Maru were found and brought back to Odo Island by raft. Humanity would soon discover the culprit behind the two sinkings to be Godzilla.
