Plot
- "Zagreth Gets Fired"
Mechanical noises outside awaken Torema early in the morning. She looks out her window to see Proto-Moguera building on a field where the monsters play. She demands an explanation from Commander Beisuke Jinguji, who explains that the Earth government ordered him to construct another base on the island in response to Zagreth's frequent attacks. Watching Proto-Moguera's work from the Vabaruda, Zagreth orders Destoroyah, Megalon, and Mecha-King Ghidorah into action, but receives no response. An underling explains that the Giant Dark Emperor ordered the kaiju to hold back. He materializes in front of her, declaring that she is no longer in command of the Xiliens' Earth invasion force.
- "Zagreth's Challenge"
Zagreth is stunned at her dismissal, though the Giant Dark Emperor reminds her that her artificial sun scheme was her last chance. She pleads for still another chance, but, already in the process of selecting her replacement, he departs. She orders her only remaining asset, the defective Black Mechagodzilla, made ready, and contacts Godzilla Island to challenge Torema to a duel. Jinguji warns Torema that Zagreth must be laying a trap for her, but she accepts.
- "Go, Black Mechagodzilla!"
Zagreth declares that they will duel at dawn, though neither Jinguji nor Torema knows what the archaic word means, forcing Lucas to explain. Meanwhile, Zagreth enters Black Mechagodzilla's dingy cockpit. The mecha fails to start until she kicks the controls. Launching from the Vabaruda, it speeds towards Earth.
- "Duel at Dawn"
Lucas detects Black Mechagodzilla's arrival, and is unimpressed by the machine's appearance. Torema requests the use of Mechagodzilla to oppose it, though Lucas cautions that Black Mechagodzilla might not be as weak as it looks. Godzilla, Anguirus, Gorosaurus, and Baragon amass near Black Mechagodzilla, but Torema tells them this fight is between her and Zagreth. The Xilien proposes an Old West-style shootout between their Mechagodzillas.
- "Zagreth the Coward"
The Mechagodzillas stand back-to-back and walk away from each other, but Zagreth turns around at the second-to-last pace, blasting Mechagodzilla with Black Mechagodzilla's eye and mouth lasers the instant it turns around. The kaiju are outraged, but Zagreth scoffs, asking if they really thought she would fight fair. Zagreth attempts to fire Black Mechagodzilla's finger missiles at the prone Mechagodzilla, but the machine is suddenly unresponsive, refusing to even move, and she snaps off a lever as she struggles with the controls. The kaiju mob Black Mechagodzilla and force it to the ground.
- "Zagreth the Jailbird"
Jinguji interrogates an imprisoned Zagreth, asking where Planet X is. She describes it as 28,000 light years away and the fourth planet of the Satanoia system. Jinguji cites Earth intelligence indicating the planet is just beyond Jupiter, but she explains that it's merely an advance base for maintaining the Vabaruda. Jinguji next asks why the Xiliens have come to Earth and why they solely target Godzilla Island; she responds that she has no idea and just followed the Giant Dark Emperor's orders. At his follow-up, she explains that her former boss is the head of the Dark Galactic Empire based on Planet X, though his true identity is a mystery even to her. Meanwhile, the fallen Black Mechagodzilla is ticking. Torema is suspicious at how willingly Zagreth is talking to them, and Jinguji agrees. Lucas hears the ticking and realizes that Black Mechagodzilla is a time bomb.
- "You're All Going Down with Me!"
Zagreth gloats from prison, explaining that the megaton bomb inside Black Mechagodzilla has the power to destroy the entire island. When Torema points out that Zagreth can't teleport to safety without her cape, the Xilien is indifferent, stating that she's been fired and is taking them all down with her. Torema reluctantly leads Zagreth back to Black Mechagodzilla at gunpoint and demands she deactivate the bomb. Zagreth asks for her cape back, then teleports away without it. She taunts Torema from atop Black Mechagodzilla before teleporting again. Torema finds the bomb inside the mecha's cockpit, but only seconds remain until it explodes.
- "Her True Objective"
When the bomb's timer hits zero, it merely activates an alarm clock. Zagreth laughs at Torema from a video screen, and reveals that she's now inside Proto-Moguera's cockpit. As the construction mecha goes on a rampage, Jinguji realizes her true goal was preventing them from expanding the base. Baragon and Anguirus confront Proto-Moguera, only to be sent flying through the air by a dynamite trap laid by Zagreth. Godzilla is next, but Proto-Moguera's powerful eye lasers knock him down. Torema wonders what she can do, as the Panna Torte's lasers won't penetrate Proto-Moguera's armor, then finds Black Mechagodzilla's broken lever and reattaches it to the console.
- "Desperate Times!"
Torema tries to reboot Black Mechagodzilla, but the machine stalls out. Proto-Moguera continues pummeling Godzilla with its eye lasers as Anguirus and Baragon fall back. Mothra Leo and Rodan arrive to help, but Proto-Moguera shrugs off their attacks and shoots them both down. Torema finally gets Black Mechagodzilla to start by kicking the controls. Proto-Moguera pummels Godzilla with lasers as Zagreth savors victory.
- "Praise for Zagreth"
Black Mechagodzilla announces its arrival with a volley of eye lasers. Torema launches an all-out assault against Proto-Moguera, which Godzilla adds to with his atomic breath. Proto-Moguera topples, but the Vabaruda's tractor beam takes it and Zagreth away. In space, the Giant Dark Emperor is pleased with Zagreth's theft of the mecha, agreeing to temporarily reinstate her position. She vows to conquer the Earth or die trying.

Trivia
- The English-subtitled "Go, Black Mechagodzilla!" on the GODZILLA OFFICIAL by TOHO YouTube channel mistakenly uses the previous episode's subtitles. This has yet to be fixed.
