Migrating Cultural Impact

Perhaps instead of lumping information into Godzilla's cultural impact, we could move them to the Godzilla in popular culture page. -- User:Cohozilla (talk 00:52, 22 December 2023 (UTC)

I agree with having stuff named after kaiju be it's own page.

Fire-breathing identification

"This power is commonly mistaken for breathing literal fire, which Godzilla only does in the Marvel comics, Hanna-Barbera Godzilla cartoon, and other non-film media such as the Get Going! Godzilland OVAs." i am 99% sure that in Godzilland, he actually calls this fire breathing his "atomic breath". it may look like fire but he actually calls it that, so it technically might not be literal fire. too lazy to get the timestamp as of rn but this happens in the Addition OVA. --BaragonwaSaikoda (talk) 20:04, 9 March 2024 (UTC)

That's correct, in the fansubs he says that at 4:38 in the first part. In Japanese he's saying "radioactive flame" (放射火炎,   hōsha kaen), but they're synonymous. Actually, he doesn't breathe fire in the Marvel comics either (it's called "radioactive breath" in issue #5), so that passage needs serious revising.--Astounding Beyond Belief (talk) 12:20, 11 March 2024 (UTC)

Godzilla incarnation portals

When we add incarnation pages for Godzillas that don't appear in audiovisual media (e.g. Marvel Godzilla, Dark Horse Godzilla and the various IDW Godzillas), should we have another set of portals for these incarnations below the main incarnations (the audiovisual ones) but still above the table of contents? The reason I ask this is because I think it could be difficult to differentiate between the film/TV incarnations and the incarnations who only appear in non-audiovisual media if they are all in one big group. Alright, it seems that this is the plan but before any more incarnations are promoted, I just wanted to ask another question. On the sandboxes for many of the non-audio-visual incarnations, should we change the navbar (I think that's the correct term) saying "[MONSTER] comic incarnations" to "[MONSTER] print incarnations" and put book and comics incarnations in the same category like how the List of Godzilla print continuities page works? I personally vote in favour of doing so, especially if the scope for book incarnations I suggested is agreed upon since that would give each monster at most two book incarnations (that I'm aware of) and so wouldn't really be enough to be its own navbar. --Titanozilla2023 (talk) 12:36, 13 April 2025 (UTC)

Alright, I might go make those changes now (the only potential problem is that it will link to "category:books" for all of them rather than "category:comics" since that's the general print media category and I'm not 100% sure I should make that change). My personal take on Monsterverse Godzilla and Godzilla Earth is that I'm not sure - on the one hand, it would make sense and we could just have two navbars on their pages (one for audiovisual and one for print) but on the other hand, if we were to make incarnation pages for video game incarnations (Gv3GM Godzilla, NES Godzilla etc.) that could mean the Monsterverse Godzilla would have three navbars and I think in the past having three navbars on a page has been avoided for being excessive. It might just be easier to have print incarnations essentially be for print-exclusive incarnations rather than ones who also appear in audiovisual media. Non specific media portal

It seems like when adding the portal in (as I was troubleshooting means with Show Preview), it is aligned with the TOC, which looks pretty clunky. What would be the best way to correct this? --JohnGojira (talk) 19:46, 27 February 2025 (UTC)
