The Mysterians
After leaving the planet Mars, the Mysterians docked their Space Station on the dark side of the Moon in preparation to invade Earth.
Battle in Outer Space
The Natarl's base for their invasion of Earth was located on the Moon.
Destroy All Monsters
In order to successfully take control of Earth's kaiju, the Kilaaks built a transmitter tower and a base on the Moon. The JSDF and UN launched an expedition force of humans aboard the Moonlight SY-3 to the Moon, and a battle raged which resulted in the humans blowing up the base's entrance and forcing the Kilaaks inside to revert to their metallic forms, as well as the destruction of the tower, which freed the kaiju from the aliens' grasp.
All Monsters Attack
While Shinpei Minami demonstrated his Kiddy Computer it displayed footage from the Moon (represented by stock footage from Destroy All Monsters), accompanied by narration that mentioned the success of the Apollo 11 mission.
Godzilla vs. Hedorah
In the U.S. version's theme song "Save the Earth", it is mentioned by the lyrics that if humanity doesn't stop polluting Earth, the only option may be "movin' to the Moon".
Reiwa era
GAMERA -Rebirth-
At some point, the Eustace Foundation established a base on the moon, from which the foundation plotted the Purification of Mankind: their plan to control the human population.
"The Moon is a Harsh Mistress"
In the summer of 1989, Emiko Melchiorri enacted her own plan to carry out the Purification of Mankind using Viras, while leaving the organization's top brass stranded on the Moon.
"Childhood's End"
Despite lacking a means of returning to Earth, the Eustace Foundation planned to use their mutant S-Gyaos to carry out their plots following Viras' defeat by Gamera.
After Gamera defeated S-Gyaos, the Eustace Foundation shifted gears, making use of the RNA virus injected into Gamera by the mutant Gyaos to corrupt the Last Hope, reverting him back to his original state under their control, through which he would carry out the Purification of Mankind. However, unknown to them, Gamera was broken of their control, and fired at base on the moon with his Charged Heavy Particle Cannon, obliterating it and the Eustace Foundation's top brass once and for all.
