The Kong Crew
|
The Kong Crew is a French comic by Eric Herenguel that uses the character King Kong through the public domain. It imagines a world where he was not killed at the Empire State Building, but successfully fought back the United States military and caused the complete evacuation and abandonment of Manhattan. This led to the creation of "The Kong Crew," a squad of pilots charged with looking after the "Manhattan Jungle," where Kong and all manner of impossible creatures roam. Herenguel first began work on the series in 2016. It was previewed at the Angoulême International Comics Festival in January 2018 and published annually by Caurette Editions from 2018 to 2025.
