Kagoshima Bay is a deep inlet on the coast of Japan on the island of Kyushu. The port city of Kagoshima is on the bay's western coast.

Whilst tracking SpaceGodzilla, Godzilla entered Kagoshima through Kagoshima Bay. Hatsuyuki- and Haruna-class destroyers attacked Godzilla, but he blew up the Haruna-class with a blast of his atomic breath. AH-1 Cobras also flew around Godzilla, and some of them fired at him, but he ignored them.
