Showa era
Mothra
As Shinichi Chujo began to explore Infant Island on his own, he came across mutated flora, including giant fungus. While he passed through the shrubbery, he was met by purple low-hanging vines. Chujo attempted to brush them away, only for the vines to suddenly attack him, ensnaring his arms and neck before squeezing him into unconsciousness. Before passing out, the last thing Chujo saw were the Shobijin, who saved his life by using their telepathic abilities to pacify the plant.
Abilities
Constriction
The Vampire Plant possesses constricting vines, which are used to squeeze the life out of its victims. It used them on Shinichi Chujo after the scientist brushed past them, quickly ensnaring his arms, before grabbing his neck and squeezing him into unconsciousness.
