Chibi Minilla (ちびミニラ Chibi Minira) is a baby kaiju who appears in the second season of the 2023 animated television series Chibi Godzilla Raids Again. She[a] is the sister of Chibi Godzilla.
Name
Chibi Minilla's name is a simple combination of the Japanese chibi (ちび, "small") and the name of the kaiju Minilla, which is itself derived from "mini" and "Godzilla." The redundancy of having both chibi and "mini" in her name is humorously pointed out by Chibi Mechagodzilla in Chibi Minilla's debut episode.
Design
Chibi Minilla has the same basic body shape as Chibi Godzilla, but with light-pink skin and "charming eyebrows."[1] Like Chibi Godzilla, her snout, dorsal fins, and toe claws are white though she is also noticeably shorter than her brother.
Personality
Despite only being 5 years old, Chibi Minilla is level-headed and responsible.[1] Chibi Godzilla teaches her to be wary of strangers.

Chibi Godzilla Raids Again
This section is a "Chibi Minilla is a Big Girl"
Chibi Godzilla warned Chibi Minilla about the dangers of following strangers home and told her to use atomic breath on them, worrying her as these strangers may be innocent. Chibi Mechagodzilla then greeted Chibi Godzilla and the latter answered with atomic breath as an example of dealing with stranger danger, though Chibi Minilla pointed out that Chibi Mechagodzilla was just calling his name. Chibi Mechagodzilla shouted at Chibi Godzilla before realizing that Chibi Minilla had called him "brother". Chibi Godzilla introduced the two to one another, with Chibi Mechagodzilla pointing out the humorous redundancy of having both "chibi" and "mini" in one's name. Chibi Minilla apologized for her brother's actions and Chibi Mechagodzilla stated that she seemed much more reasonable than him, with Chibi Godzilla confirming this in the third person. Chibi Mechagodzilla pointed out they were talking about him and Chibi Minilla explained she was being taught about stranger danger, with Chibi Godzilla suddenly having an idea.
This idea was to have Chibi Mechagodzilla act as a stranger (simply changing his appearance with sunglasses) to help give Chibi Minilla an example of what to do, with Chibi Godzilla annoying Chibi Mechagodzilla by telling him to just be himself. Chibi Godzilla hid behind a bin and ordered the roleplay to start, with Chibi Minilla correctly dealing with the "stranger" as Chibi Godzilla provided bizarre commentary that annoyed Chibi Mechagodzilla. Chibi Minilla continued to be successful with dealing with the "stranger" and the roleplay was called off until Chibi Godzilla demanded they continue since a stranger wouldn't give up that quickly, with the situation being the return of the "stranger" the next day. Chibi Minilla was slow to respond, so Chibi Godzilla hit Chibi Mechagodzilla with atomic breath since she was "in danger". Chibi Minilla asked him if he was okay and when asked how she could handle Chibi Godzilla's insanity, she responded that he is a handful but fun and she loves him very much. Chibi Mechagodzilla began to agree until he took back his word when Chibi Godzilla appeared to tell Chibi Minilla not to talk to strangers like Chibi Mechagodzilla.
"Chibi Mothra's Secret Hobby"
Chibi Minilla and Chibi Godzilla found a hand-drawn comic in a classroom on Monster Island. Chibi Godzilla read the title out to her when she asked it was, revealing it to be a yaoi comic. Chibi Godzilla attempted to begin reading the comic when Chibi Mothra appeared, visibly panicked. After grabbing the comic, Chibi Mothra asked if they had read it and Chibi Godzilla began to say he had until Chibi Minilla pulled him aside, encouraging him to tell a white lie as everyone has secrets they'd rather others not know about. Chibi Mothra asked them again and collapsed when Chibi Godzilla said that he had, explaining to Chibi Minilla that he hadn't seen inside the comic and lied about having done so. Chibi Minilla asked Chibi Mothra if she was okay as she gradually recovered, then proceeded to deny knowing anything about the comic at all when Chibi Godzilla asked her about it, all while going into a massive review of the comic and criticizing how parts of it were cliché but there were some surprises in the portrayal of the butler character. Chibi Minilla pointed out this is what an author would say while Chibi Mothra denied being an otaku, but both were surprised when Chibi Godzilla happily announced that he was one.
Chibi Godzilla began to tell them about how much he loved the Godzilla films and how it is great to be passionate about something if you don't bother others, though Chibi Minilla referred to his instinct of firing atomic breath whenever he saw atomic breath onscreen as a huge bother. Chibi Mothra thanked Chibi Godzilla for encouraging being an otaku, only to leave after Chibi Godzilla asked to read her comic, refusing to allow him to do so. Chibi Minilla told her brother that secrets exist for a reason before they found another yaoi comic. Chibi Mothra returned and panicked once again, asking if they looked at its contents. Chibi Godzilla made her collapse by lying that he did even though he hadn't, making Chibi Minilla realize he didn't understand the point of white lies.
"Shobijin Slump"
Chibi Minilla and Chibi Godzilla came across Chibi Mothra with the Shobijin, who were arguing since they had come out of sync with each other. The Shobijin exchanged pleasantries with Chibi Minilla but then worried about the others noticing them off-sync, though they voiced these concerns within earshot of Chibi Godzilla. They attempted to continue the conversation in-sync with the two, but argued when they gave different answers, confusing Chibi Godzilla and Chibi Minilla until Chibi Mothra explained they were out of sync. Chibi Minilla pointed they could use their telepathy to get back in sync before they attempted to read Chibi Mothra's thoughts, only to give different answers once again, neither actually being what she was thinking about. Chibi Godzilla and Chibi Minilla then suggested "this or that?" questions such as where they would rather go on holiday but gave answers not part of the question both times. Chibi Godzilla stated they weren't even close the second time and drew their ire to the point where they insulted him in sync, bringing them back in sync. The five of them celebrated this, though Chibi Minilla pointed out they were only in sync when being unpleasant.
"Chibi Minilla's First Errand"
Chibi Godzilla and the Shobijin gave Chibi Minilla the task of running her first errand alone, which she was ready for until Chibi Godzilla struggled to give her an errand in the first place while the Shobijin reacted in an overly emotional manner, confusing and irritating her. She attempted to head to the market but was followed by Chibi Godzilla and the Shobijin, the former providing unnecessary narration and a time limit of 90 minutes, naturally annoying her even though she knew the way to the market and the street she was on. Chibi Godzilla then forced her to ask Chibi Ghidorah for directions anyway by repeating his narration, leading to a detective game in which each of Chibi Ghidorah's heads gave different clues on the direction to the market and she had to find out which one was lying. She attempted to get out of it but was forced to play the game by Chibi Godzilla's narration.
She eventually made her way to the market with only five minutes to spare and the narration still ongoing, approaching Chibi Gabara's stall while growing annoyed at the chit-chat in the narration. Chibi Gabara attempted to sell her bananas as he was trying to get rid of them while the Shobijin became inexplicably emotional at the events. Chibi Minilla told Chibi Gabara that she actually wanted to buy potatoes, prompting him to apologize since it was his first day. He gave her 50% off for the earlier confusion and a bag with her order, though Chibi Minilla quickly discovered that he was attempting to sell her bananas once again. She became so enraged by this that she began to charge up her atomic breath, with the Shobijin wondering if this would be her first destruction until she instead fired a harmless smoke ring. Chibi Godzilla pointed she was still young and the Shobijin cried tears of joy, though Chibi Minilla instead referred to them as tears of frustration.
"Chibi Mechagodzilla's Hidden Features"
Chibi Minilla and Chibi Mothra came across Chibi Mechagodzilla and Chibi Godzilla as the former had just fixed the latter's phone, with Chibi Minilla complimenting Chibi Mechagodzilla's abilities. After Chibi Mothra pondered if Chibi Mechagodzilla had other abilities he didn't know about, Chibi Minilla watched as Chibi Godzilla pressed the bottom two of Chibi Mechagodzilla's dorsal fins to reveal he could produce a stream of hot water from his mouth similar to an electric kettle and function as a microwave to heat up food. Chibi Mechagodzilla became stressed by this but then wondered if spinning his pen well was a hidden ability as well, though Chibi Minilla said it was more likely a hobby. Chibi Minilla continued to listen to the discussion as they mentioned his missing memories and Chibi Godzilla depressed him by comparing him to a home appliance, with Chibi Minilla noting his obvious sadness at this. Chibi Godzilla then pressed Chibi Mechagodzilla's third dorsal fin to reveal a freezer-like blast which Chibi Godzilla realized was the Absolute Zero Cannon used by Mechagodzilla, delighting Chibi Mechagodzilla as it gave him something in common with other robot monsters rather than home appliances. Though the two celebrated this, Chibi Minilla pulled Chibi Mothra aside and pointed out that it was concerning Chibi Mechagodzilla had such a dangerous feature. She wondered why this was built into him, though Chibi Mothra told her to let him enjoy the moment and not worry about it. They returned to the conversation as Chibi Mechagodzilla was revealed to have yet another feature similar to a home appliance: a rice cooker feature.
"Madam Bio's New Menu"
Chibi Godzilla and Chibi Minilla visited Chibi Biollante's bar and Chibi Biollante realized she didn't recognize Chibi Minilla, leading to an introduction. Chibi Biollante pointed out that Chibi Minilla was a child and that she was in a bar where one would theoretically have alcohol though changed her mind when she remembered she didn't even sell beverages and that most of her customers were children anyway, welcoming Chibi Minilla. Chibi Biollante revealed she had been stressed recently by inflation, leading to fewer customers. Chibi Minilla attempted to give her an idea to help her but was stopped by Chibi Biollante, who dismissed her since she was a child, only to completely change her mind when Chibi Minilla revealed her idea was to come up with new additions to the menu. Chibi Minilla then suggested she sell beverages, but the idea was strongly rejected by Chibi Biollante even though the vending machine close to the bar sold many drinks. Chibi Minilla felt parched just thinking about Chibi Godzilla's new idea for a very dry snack which was quickly accepted by Chibi Biollante: a soy powder biscuit snack. Chibi Minilla questioned why Chibi Biollante was so interested in making her customers dehydrated.
Chibi Biollante made the soy powder biscuit snacks and the three waited for a customer to arrive, who Chibi Minilla instead referred to as the first victim. Chibi Titano suddenly arrived and was served one of the snacks by Chibi Biollante, with Chibi Minilla initially assuming he was complaining until he referred to it as "amazingly delicious". Chibi Minilla described him as a nice guy as Chibi Biollante began to talk about what was even more valuable to her than money; Chibi Minilla assumed at first she meant her customer's smiles, but Chibi Biollante revealed it was instead their dehydrated expressions as Chibi Titano became parched. Chibi Minilla voiced her confusion and concern once again after hearing this.
"Genius? Hard Worker? He is...Chibi Rodan"
Chibi Minilla spied on Chibi Rodan alongside Chibi Godzilla and Chibi Mothra as he secretly worked out until Chibi Godzilla announced their presence and confronted him. Chibi Rodan tried to lie by saying he was doing "Jazzercise No. 5" but Chibi Minilla dismissed him as a terrible liar. Chibi Godzilla referred to his behavior as suspicious and Chibi Minilla asked if he was working out, but he continued to deny this and stated that geniuses like him don't have to try for anything due to their natural talent. Chibi Minilla saw through this and commented that he was trying to hide the fact that he was trying while Chibi Godzilla pointed out that he was surrounded by workout equipment. Chibi Rodan finally admitted he had been exercising, but claimed it was only a little and he barely broke a sweat. The group nevertheless saw through this and asked what there was to hide. He stated that he was then going to casually skim a book on work techniques for monsters who don't have to try with his right eye while reading about color coordination with his left eye, and then later have a bath of face toner, all of which shocked Chibi Minilla and Chibi Mothra. Chibi Godzilla then accused Chibi Rodan of practicing falling from the sky after Chibi Godzilla pointed out a nearby hole in the ground, with Chibi Minilla trying to point out the absurdity of this accusation until Chibi Rodan screamed, indirectly confirming he did. Chibi Rodan continued to insist that he doesn't have to try for anything, but Chibi Minilla and Chibi Mothra pointed out that working to improve oneself is just as impressive as being a natural-born genius. Chibi Rodan dismissed this until Chibi Godzilla made him fall from the sky effortlessly, making them congratulate his falling skills.
"Scary Stories of Monster Island"
Chibi Minilla accompanied her brother Chibi Godzilla as well as Chibi Mechagodzilla, Chibi Ghidorah, Chibi Mothra, and Chibi Rodan to a hut so they could all share spooky stories. Chibi Minilla refused to listen when she realized why she was there and attempted to leave, only to burst into tears when Chibi Godzilla warned her that she would be cursed if she did so. Chibi Godzilla then told his incredibly short story which was criticized by Chibi Mechagodzilla but Chibi Godzilla pointed out that a blank-faced Chibi Minilla was scared; she confirmed she was so scared she blacked out, further confusing Chibi Mechagodzilla. Chibi Ghidorah then began to tell his story about Yokai living on Monster Island, only for the twist to be that they have three eyes despite him having three heads; Chibi Mechagodzilla was disappointed by this story too but noticed Chibi Minilla missing as she was so scared she hid offscreen. Chibi Rodan then told his story about a girl with a doll called Mary but stumbled over his story while being questioned and forgot the ending other than "I'm right behind you", with not even Chibi Minilla being scared by this. Chibi Mothra then told her story about an otaku who she stressed wasn't her but had twin housemates who not only signed off on a delivery for her, but opened it without her permission. The others saw straight through this and Chibi Godzilla accused her of being the otaku in question. After Chibi Minilla said she wasn't scared by this story either, Chibi Godzilla tested her to see if she overcame her fear by simply saying "Ghosts are... ACTUALLY REAL!", which caused her to begin crying once again while Chibi Mechagodzilla remained confused as to why she was so scared.
"We Wanna Be Idols"
Chibi Minilla and Chibi Godzilla came across the Shobijin practicing becoming idols with Chibi Mothra as their manager and fan. They revealed their stage name as the Cosmos and prepared to perform for both Chibi Godzilla and Chibi Minilla, only to end up discussing the colors of plant of the same name at length beforehand. After finally beginning the show, they began to perform "Mothra's Song", with Chibi Minilla praising them until Chibi Godzilla noticed they were lip-syncing. The Shobijin defended themselves by saying this was normal idol behavior and that they could focus on their dancing this way, though Chibi Minilla pointed out they weren't dancing anyway. The Shobijin then performed the original Peanuts version of "Mothra's Song" which Chibi Minilla correctly guessed to be another lip-sync, though Chibi Godzilla didn't care this time and requested an encore. They accepted the encore on the basis that he take a picture with them which would usually cost 20,000 yen, butwas discounted to 1,000 yen. Chibi Minilla described the first price as simply outrageous when Chibi Godzilla described the latter as cheap. Chibi Godzilla accepted until they demanded he choose one of them to take a picture with, stunning him and annoying them to the point of asking Chibi Mothra to kick him out. Now outside some time later, Chibi Minilla and Chibi Godzilla reflected on how the latter had been blacklisted and Chibi Minilla merely commented that the idol life must be hard.
"Chibi Mechagodzilla Bugs Out"
Chibi Minilla welcomed Chibi Godzilla as he returned home with two guests: Chibi Mechagodzilla and Chibi Ghidorah. However, Chibi Mechagodzilla began to behave strangely, the result of being exposed to water on the way to their underwater home, and Chibi Minilla was confused by this. She quickly became annoyed by his behavior when he feigned a threat to hurl up oil even though she had just finished cleaning, though became more understanding when Chibi Godzilla and Chibi Ghidorah explained the effects of the water. She continued to be confused by his behavior such as when he opened their refrigerator without asking and made fun of them keeping bananas in there, suddenly contemplating the meaning of life, and began to smoke "mystery gas", the last of these particularly irritating Chibi Minilla. Chibi Mechagodzilla then suddenly fell asleep and both Chibi Minilla and Chibi Ghidorah asked Chibi Godzilla why he was being so tolerant of Chibi Mechagodzilla's behavior despite usually hating unruly guests. He explained that he wanted to give the robot a break for once since he usually had to put up with everyone else's behavior. However, when Chibi Minilla pointed out that he had eaten Chibi Godzilla's pudding, Chibi Godzilla instantly changed his tune and angrily yelled at the sleeping Chibi Mechagodzilla to leave his house.
"Monster Motorcycle Gang"
Chibi Godzilla asked Chibi Minilla if she wanted to learn how to ride a bike, though she was skeptical about riding it at the speed of sound and beyond as Chibi Godzilla insisted, an attitude which her brother referred to as no fun. Chibi Minilla realized she had never seen Chibi Godzilla on a bike and wondered if he could even ride one, to which he replied that actual knowledge wasn't important if one had attitude and guts. Chibi Minilla was doubtful until Chibi Titano suddenly appeared on a motorcycle with Chibi Rodan and agreed with Chibi Godzilla. Chibi Minilla quickly became annoyed with Chibi Titano's self-described disciple, Chibi Rodan, who himself became angry with Chibi Minilla until Chibi Titano denied making Chibi Rodan his disciple, causing Chibi Rodan to drop from the sky. Chibi Titano then openly approved of Chibi Minilla wanting to ride a "chopper", with her being confused as to whether a bicycle could be considered a chopper, and asked if she wanted to join his bike team. Chibi Rodan then revived and said it would look bad to recruit a "minion" like her, angering her as he asked Chibi Titano to recruit him instead. He was ultimately denied twice and plummeted to the ground in defeat once more, making Chibi Minilla comment there was no stopping it that time. Chibi Godzilla then suggested Chibi Titano teach Chibi Minilla how to ride, but he refused, commenting "actions speak louder than words" and prepared to show her how to ride. However, he promptly fell off his bike, proving he couldn't ride one either. Chibi Rodan then began to praise Chibi Titano once again as Chibi Minilla despaired that no one on the island could ride a bike. She contemplated giving up until Chibi Titano told her not to, as facing one's problems makes life easier. He then announced that since neither of them could ride, that made them homies, but Chibi Rodan reappeared and asked why he had been disregarded for becoming Chibi Titano's disciple which he had done purely for his own selfish reasons, which Chibi Minilla said was likely the reason he had been disregarded. Chibi Titano then finally accepted Chibi Rodan before falling over yet again, with Chibi Minilla commenting they should learn to pedal together.
"Chibi Gigan Loves Nature"
Chibi Godzilla, Chibi Mechagodzilla, and Chibi Minilla came across Chibi Gigan fishing, with Chibi Minilla asking if it was really him, having been told of his evil plans for the island. Chibi Godzilla confronted the robot monster and asked if he'd already forgotten his plans to destroy Monster Island, which he had. However, he also admitted to having developed a liking for the island and its natural beauty. Chibi Godzilla commented it was strange to say this as a robot monster and Chibi Gigan agreed, with Chibi Minilla commenting that unlike living organisms who are born and later return to the earth, he won't return to the earth as he is made out of metal. Chibi Godzilla and Chibi Gigan then began to argue over how special the island's natural beauty is, with the two even reversing their roles as Chibi Godzilla threatened to destroy the island as Chibi Gigan defended it. Chibi Gigan asserted he was going to stay on the island and Chibi Minilla pointed that it was contradictory to destroy the island he'd grown fond of. Chibi Gigan dismissed this as the view of a naïve child until he realized she was right in yet another example of him losing an argument. Chibi Gigan then began to show off his various "weapon" attachments such as a birdcage, light, bottle opener, and hot sandwich maker, though Chibi Minilla and the others pointed out these weren't exactly weapons and he confirmed this by calling them essentials for camping. Chibi Gigan then remembered he was meant to take over the island alongside Chibi Mechagodzilla, annoying Chibi Minilla while Chibi Mechagodzilla refused to allow this. Chibi Gigan then equipped a double-pronged chainsaw, briefly scaring the others until he revealed he was just going to build himself a cabin instead.
Abilities
Smoke rings
While getting angry at Chibi Godzilla, the Shobijin, and Chibi Gabara, Chibi Minilla's dorsal fins flashed blue, but she merely fired a slow-moving, seemingly harmless smoke ring.
Atomic breath
Chibi Minilla presumably possesses atomic breath, as Chibi Godzilla advises her to use the ability on approaching strangers, although she has yet to demonstrate it.

- Despite Minilla typically being depicted as the son of Godzilla, the GODZILLA OFFICIAL by TOHO YouTube channel uses she/her pronouns for Chibi Minilla in its English subtitles for Chibi Godzilla Raids Again, and refers to her as a "Big Girl" in the English title of her debut episode. However, while the character is voiced by a woman, she refers to herself by the masculine first-person pronoun boku (僕) in the Japanese dialogue. No other gendered language has yet been used for her in the Japanese version, with Chibi Godzilla nonspecifically introducing her as his "relative" (親戚 shinseki), and even the portion of her debut episode's title that was translated as "Big Girl" is a non-gendered term for a "person of firm character."[2] It is therefore currently unclear what gender Chibi Minilla was intended to be by the show's Japanese staff; this site sides with the English subtitles for convenience.
