"Chibi Mechagodzilla Bugs Out" (バグったちびメカゴジラ, Bagutta Chibi Mekagojira, lit. "Bugged Chibi Mechagodzilla") is the 38th episode of Chibi Godzilla Raids Again and the 25th of its second season. Written by Taketo Shinkai and Yuki Hirokawa, it aired on Japanese television on September 18, 2024. An English-subtitled version followed on the GODZILLA OFFICIAL by TOHO YouTube channel that September 25.
Plot
Chibi Mechagodzilla and Chibi Ghidorah stand by a beach, the former excited to go to Chibi Godzilla's house as he's never been. He asks Chibi Ghidorah where it is. Chibi Ghidorah looks out at the ocean and says it's over there, confusing Chibi Mechagodzilla until Chibi Godzilla rises out of the water and the two of them explain to Chibi Mechagodzilla that Chibi Godzilla lives in the ocean. Chibi Mechagodzilla grows nervous, saying that machines don't do well in water, but he gets angry when Chibi Godzilla tells him he's staying then. Chibi Ghidorah asks if he'll break in water; Chibi Mechagodzilla says he won't, but he'll start acting weird and glitching. Chibi Godzilla and Ghidorah then excitedly start shoving Chibi Mechagodzilla into the ocean, insisting he'll be fine as he pleads with them and denies any responsibility for anything that happens.
Chibi Godzilla and Chibi Ghidorah bring Chibi Mechagodzilla into the former's underwater house, where Chibi Minilla welcomes them, having just finished cleaning. Chibi Mechagodzilla cheerfully approaches her, his face flushed, before all color drains from him as he announces he's about to throw up oil. Chibi Minilla grows agitated, but Chibi Mechagodzilla cheers up again and says he was just pranking her and he wouldn't throw up "yet". Chibi Minilla asks him why he's being annoying, and Chibi Godzilla and Chibi Ghidorah realize this is how Chibi Mechagodzilla bugs out, finding it humorous. Chibi Mechagodzilla then goes through the refrigerator, laughing at the bananas in the fridge before crouching to one knee and beginning to contemplate the meaning of life. Chibi Godzilla and Chibi Ghidorah grow more confused, and Chibi Mechagodzilla shoots up and asks if he can smoke some mystery gas. Chibi Minilla objects, but he does it anyways, promising he'll do it near a vent. Chibi Mechagodzilla quickly stops smoking and walks back to the group, saying he's having so much fun before passing out completely. Chibi Godzilla says he was entertained, confusing Chibi Minilla and Chibi Ghidorah due to Chibi Godzilla usually hating obnoxious guests. Chibi Godzilla says he was giving Chibi Mechagodzilla a break due to how much he gets beat up. Chibi Minilla then realizes Chibi Mechagodzilla ate Chibi Godzilla's pudding, and prompting the latter to begin charging his atomic breath as he screams at Chibi Mechagodzilla to get out of his house.
