"Broke Monster Chibi Ghidorah" (金欠怪獣ちびギドラ, Kinketsu Kaijū Chibi Gidora) is the 56th episode of Chibi Godzilla Raids Again and the 43rd of its second season. Written by Taketo Shinkai and Yuki Hirokawa, it aired on Japanese television on January 22, 2025. An English-subtitled version was released on the GODZILLA OFFICIAL by TOHO YouTube channel on that March 6.
Plot
Chibi Ghidorah sighs, his eyes shadowed, while Chibi Godzilla, Chibi Mothra, and Chibi Mechagodzilla ask him what's wrong. All three of Chibi Ghidorah's heads say that they want money. The heads elaborate, with the middle head saying they only get one salary but have three mouths to feed and they only get one birthday present but have to pay three times the amount for dental work. Chibi Ghidorah sighs again and slumps, but is revitalized when Chibi Mechagodzilla offers help, the right head excitedly asking if he'll give them money. Chibi Mechagodzilla offers them financial advice instead. Chibi Godzilla asks them if they overspend on food, but the left head says they live paycheck to paycheck. Chibi Mothra asks what they ate last night, and the left head says bean sprouts, the right head says tofu, and the middle head says Korean barbecue. The other two heads turn red with anger and exclaim "How dare you feast while we starve?!" and "And when was this?!" respectively before biting the middle head's neck. Chibi Ghidorah collapses from the pain, which they all feel. Chibi Mechagodzilla says he thinks he found the problem, while the middle head tries to deny responsibility and insists he just found it on the floor. Chibi Mothra wonders if one of them is secretly splurging, and Chibi Godzilla demands they reveal their last purchases. The left head says he bought a single rubber band, the middle head says he bought a single pencil, and the right head nervously admits he bought a single luxury watch, which materializes around his neck. The left and middle heads flush with rage and turn on him, but the right head manages to dissuade them by saying he's investing in an ultra-rare luxury watch. Chibi Godzilla asks how rare, and the right head tells him it's so rare it's only available on weekdays. The left and middle heads exclaim that that's basically every day and that there's nothing rare about it before biting the right head, knocking Chibi Ghidorah out once more. When they recover, the left head chastises the right head for buying such useless stuff before Chibi Godzilla asks which one of them bought the funky tanuki statue he saw at his house the other day, which the left head takes credit for. The middle and right heads both agree that a tanuki statue is essential, angering Chibi Mechagodzilla. Chibi Ghidorah laments that he'll stay broke forever, but Chibi Godzilla asks if he's sure before he and Chibi Mothra wish him a happy birthday. Three presents appear, shocking Chibi Ghidorah while Chibi Mothra and Chibi Godzilla explain they felt bad for always getting them one present and bought three this year instead. Chibi Mechagodzilla says they don't have to fight anymore while Chibi Ghidorah opens the presents, revealing three more funky tanuki statues. Though all the other chibi monsters are happy, Chibi Mechagodzilla asks why they got tanuki statues out of everything.
