"Chibi Mothra's Valentine" (ちびモスラのバレンタイン, Chibi Mosura no Barentain) is the 59th episode of Chibi Godzilla Raids Again and the 46th of its second season. Written by Taketo Shinkai and Yuki Hirokawa, it aired on Japanese television on February 12, 2025. An English-subtitled version was released on the GODZILLA OFFICIAL by TOHO YouTube channel on that March 14.
Plot
The Shobijin tell Chibi Biollante that Chibi Mothra wants special custom-made chocolate for Valentine's Day before passing it off as what Chibi Mothra wants them to say, which Chibi Mothra doesn't deny for once. Chibi Biollante starts with advice for traditional chocolate making: buy chocolate, melt it, and solidify it in the shape they want. Chibi Biollante says she'll teach them a different way this time, one that's completely foolproof. Chibi Mothra and the Shobijin listen carefully as Chibi Biollante tells them to buy the chocolate and gift it as it is. Chibi Mothra asks what happened to it being handmade, and Chibi Biollante tells her that there's no way it can fail if it's already made and that melting chocolate only to solidify it is a waste of time. Chibi Mothra argues it's the thought that counts, but concedes once Chibi Biollante asks her if she'd buy ice just to melt it and refreeze it again. Chibi Biollante tries to cheer her up, saying that not all time-wastes are bad, and the Shobijin encourage her that "he'd" like it. They start to brainstorm the shape. Chibi Mothra feels a heart is too direct, so Chibi Biollante suggests a kissing emoji, then the upside-down smiley face emoji, before finally asking to shape it like Biollante. Chibi Biollante tells her the best way is to pick from the heart and then asks to hear more about the boy in question. The Shobijin describe him as very picky, round, and never shuts up, which Chibi Mothra says can be good things before adding that he's straightforward, considerate of others, and built. Chibi Mothra says they went to see the stars the other day, and Chibi Biollante and the Shobijin immediately decide on the shape.
Later, Chibi Mothra gifts Chibi Mechagodzilla the star-shaped chocolate, which he gratefully accepts. Chibi Godzilla appears and asks what's going on before noticing the chocolate and asking if he can have one too. The Shobijin jump him and close his mouth, demanding he shut up. Chibi Mothra says she has a chocolate for him too, confusing the Shobijin before Chibi Mothra explains she made some for everyone, including the Shobijin. Chibi Mothra thanks the Shobijin for always being there for her, and they hug her while crying. Chibi Mechagodzilla and Chibi Godzilla ask each other why they're crying, but come up with no answer.
