"Fortune-Telling" (あなたの運勢占うやん, Anata no Unsei Uranauyan, lit. "Telling Your Fortune") is the 43rd episode of Chibi Godzilla Raids Again and the 30th of its second season. Written by Taketo Shinkai and Yuki Hirokawa, it aired on Japanese television on October 23, 2024. An English-subtitled version followed on the GODZILLA OFFICIAL by TOHO YouTube channel that October 30.
Plot
Chibi Biollante predicts Chibi Mothra's future, telling her this year will be the luckiest of her life before specifying that Chibi Mothra will find her lost earbud in the pocket of a coat she doesn't wear much. Chibi Mechagodzilla isn't very impressed while Chibi Godzilla explains that Chibi Biollante renovated her bar recently and must have added fortune-telling. Chibi Biollante adds that she's also picked up random items she's found outside to sell as a secondhand store. She explains she has to do all of this to cover the cost of maintaining her deteriorating building and suddenly gives Chibi Mechagodzilla a tarot reading, bestowing him with The Sun and declaring it will be sunny tomorrow. Chibi Mechagodzilla is skeptical, angering Chibi Mothra, who insists Chibi Biollante's predictions are so accurate that they're right even when they're wrong, but Chibi Mechagodzilla just takes this as meaning they are inaccurate. Chibi Mothra asks Chibi Biollante to predict her future for the year again, and she decides to use her crystal ball. Chibi Mechagodzilla asks if it's more accurate, to which Chibi Mothra flatly tells him everything besides the crystal ball is a scam. Chibi Biollante reveals she can see Chibi Mothra's future clearly; she will gain weight if she eats too much. This revelation horrifies Chibi Mothra but dumbfounds Chibi Mechagodzilla. Chibi Biollante then lists some more things for Chibi Mothra; her lucky color is reddish-purple, and her lucky hat is a helmet. Chibi Mothra panics and decides to buy a purplish-red helmet, which Chibi Biollante just so happens to have in stock. Chibi Mechagodzilla calls Chibi Biollante out on using her fortunes to sell items, though she offers to read his future in response. She sees a bad future for him and tells him his lucky number is two and eight fifteenths, his lucky pose is full prostration, and his lucky exercise is radio calisthenics. Chibi Biollante cheerfully adds that his luck will increase if he buys from her store, but he says it's her luck instead that will increase from the money. Chibi Biollante admits she's only in it for the money anyways, as she needs the funding to fix up her bar. Just then, a light fixture falls from the ceiling, bouncing off of Chibi Mothra's helmet and hitting Chibi Mechagodzilla on the head, giving them both the belief that the readings are accurate.
