"Find Nessie" (ネッシーをさがせ, Nesshī o Sagase) is the 50th episode of Chibi Godzilla Raids Again and the 37th of its second season. Written by Taketo Shinkai and Yuki Hirokawa, it aired on Japanese television on December 11, 2024. An English-subtitled version was released on the GODZILLA OFFICIAL by TOHO YouTube channel on January 8, 2025.
Plot
Chibi Godzilla excitedly tells Chibi Mechagodzilla, Chibi Mothra, and Chibi Ghidorah that they're going to search for Nessie. Chibi Mechagodzilla asks if he means the alleged unidentified lake monster, which Chibi Godzilla confirms, saying there's been rumors of Nessie being sighted on Monster Island the night before. Chibi Mechagodzilla says it must be a hot topic, but Chibi Godzilla adds that it's only a hot topic on his mind, dissuading Chibi Mechagodzilla. Chibi Mothra and Chibi Ghidorah both say they're excited to see a living dinosaur like Nessie, and a confused Chibi Mechagodzilla points out monsters are like dinosaurs, though Chibi Godzilla disagrees and starts listing what he knows about Nessie. According to him, Nessie has a long neck and may or may not be huge, possibly has sharp eyes, is messy, is often late but strict, and drinks protein when it doesn't exercise. Chibi Godzilla acknowledges that nobody knows if any of this details are true or not while Chibi Mechagodzilla says that some parts of that description seem made-up. Chibi Ghidorah butts in and says long necks are scary, though Chibi Mechagodzilla tells him he has three. Chibi Godzilla then introduces the witness, Chibi Rodan, who begins to tell the tale. Chibi Rodan tells the lot that he saw Nessie the previous night and gives no further details, angering the other chibi monsters. Chibi Godzilla says that since Chibi Rodan is useless, they'll have to search for Nessie themselves. Chibi Mechagodzilla asks how they'll survey the entire lake, which Chibi Godzilla doesn't have a plan for beyond walking around and looking in bushes. Suddenly, the group hears a roar and believes it's Nessie, only for Chibi Anguirus to reveal himself and disappoint his friends. Some time later, none of the monsters have found Nessie. Chibi Godzilla thinks it's because they didn't meander around the lake correctly, but Chibi Mechagodzilla says it's more likely because they're wandering aimlessly. Chibi Ghidorah passes by, wading in the lake, when Chibi Rodan suddenly exclaims he sees Nessie, pointing at Chibi Ghidorah. Chibi Mothra and Chibi Godzilla ask Rodan how he could have mistaken Chibi Ghidorah for a monster like Nessie, while Chibi Ghidorah mentions he took a bath in the lake last night. Chibi Godzilla concludes that dinosaurs aren't real, and all the chibi monsters walk away except for Chibi Mechagodzilla, who points out that they're saying that as mythical monsters.
