"Monster Party Games" (怪獣王ゲーム,   Kaijū-ō Gēmu, lit. "King of the Monsters Game") is the 42nd episode of Chibi Godzilla Raids Again and the 29th of its second season. Written by Taketo Shinkai and Yuki Hirokawa, it aired on Japanese television on October 16, 2024. An English-subtitled version followed on the GODZILLA OFFICIAL by TOHO YouTube channel that October 16.

Plot

Chibi Godzilla announces to Chibi Mothra, Chibi Mechagodzilla, and the Shobijin that the five of them will be playing a game. Chibi Mechagodzilla asks if it'll be a board or card game, and Chibi Godzilla tells him they'll be playing "King of the Monsters." Chibi Godzilla then explains the rules: each one of them will draw a chopstick that will determine who gets to be king, and everyone else has to do as the king says. Chibi Mechagodzilla exclaims that it sounds more like an adult game, though the Shobijin get excited as they claim Chibi Mothra wants to be king and make a move on a "certain someone," which she denies before saying she has nobody specific in mind while glancing at an oblivious Chibi Mechagodzilla. The Shobijin ask if there should be more boys playing, dodging Chibi Godzilla asking why. Some time later, Chibi Godzilla manages to convince Chibi Gigan to join the game, though he doesn't understand the point. The Shobijin remind everyone that they have to do exactly what the king says, regardless of if it's embarrassing or not. Chibi Mothra grows worried, but Chibi Mechagodzilla tells her it's just a game and there isn't a reason to be scared before retracting his statement when Chibi Gigan aggressively reiterates what the Shobijin said. Chibi Gigan gets king first, but instead of remembering his objective to conquer Monster Island and convert Chibi Mechagodzilla, he declares that everyone should take care of the environment and not litter. Chibi Godzilla pulls king next, commanding number four, Chibi Mothra, to do an impression of Ebirah, though he ends up doing it himself while demonstrating. The Shobijin draw king next and command numbers one and three to eat a train, giggling as they imagine Chibi Mothra and Chibi Mechagodzilla's lips touching as they eat the train. However, Chibi Mechagodzilla gets offended about the idea of eating trains while Chibi Godzilla and Chibi Gigan clarify that they are numbers one and three respectively, prompting the Shobijin quickly decide to skip their turn instead. Chibi Mechagodzilla is king next and, with some rough encouragement from the Shobijin, asks Chibi Mothra if the king has to be obeyed. Chibi Mechagodzilla then decides to use his turn to end the game and go home, with the Shobijin scolding him for being a bad king.
