"Happy New Year, Chibi Godzilla" (あけましてちびゴジラ TBA) is the 53rd episode of Chibi Godzilla Raids Again and the 40th of its second season. Written by Taketo Shinkai and Yuki Hirokawa, it aired on Japanese television on December 31, 2024.
Plot
Chibi Godzilla, Chibi Mechagodzilla, Chibi Minilla, Chibi Ghidorah, Chibi Mothra, and Chibi Rodan stare at the screen and wish the audience a happy new year. Chibi Godzilla then announces that it's the year of Godzilla now. Chibi Mechagodzilla tells him it isn't, and Chibi Godzilla starts quizzing his friends. Chibi Minilla and Chibi Rodan both agree that it can't be the year of the sheep due to there being no sheep in the human world, while Chibi Mechagodzilla says there's many differences between the ways humans and monsters celebrate new year's. Chibi Ghidorah says that they get to eat cuisine on new year's. Chibi Mechagodzilla explains the various types of cuisine in the human world before Chibi Ghidorah talks about raising their blood pressure. Chibi Mothra pulls out some feathers and tooth plates, the former Chibi Rodan claims to be from his wings and warns her to use them carefully. Chibi Mothra pulls out different ones instead, which she says are from her wings. Chibi Mechagodizlla asks if there's any more new year's customs on Monster Island, and Chibi Godzilla pulls out a fortune slip box. Chibi Godzilla's fortune says it's 5 o'clock; Chibi Ghidorah's says "Guido religion;" Chibi Minilla's says she's a "mini Daikichi;" Chibi Mothra's calls her "liquid earth;" finally, Chibi Mechagodzilla pulls his, which says he will be pushed around by those around him and cook rice on time.
